| Gym Rules and Guidelines We must understand that gymnastics is a sport with risks resulting from motion, height, speed and power. Additional risks can be created by training and practice environments and misconduct of the gymnast. As in any sport, any one of these factors can lead to a very serious or disabling injury. For safety reasons, these rules and regulation must always be followed:
Again, you must realize that due to the nature of gymnastics, the best coaching, supervision and equipment will not eliminate risks and injuries. The potential for a serious or disabling injury always exists in all athletics. As you progress to the team levels, you are a member of Lakeshore Gymnastics, Dance & Cheer. This means that you may not attend practices at another facility unless it is sanctioned by Lakeshore and/or accompanied by a Lakeshore Coach (ie: High School Teams, camps, Seminars, etc., are ok). If you practice at another facility while a member of our teams, you will be asked to leave our team program. Together, we can do our very best to eliminate injury through proper training and strong communication between the coach and the athlete. |
